On these pages are the works of Julie Nagesh in "warm glass" or kiln-formed glass.  With this technique, glass takes its shape in a kiln that usually fires under 1500 degrees.  No paints or liquids are used; the designs are formed of layers of glass in sheets, chunks and powders.  Each piece can be fired multiple times with multiple layers of elements, and the firing schedules differ depending on the effects to be achieved.  The pieces are generally fired 3-12 times, with each firing taking 24 hours or longer.
